What are collaborative documents?

There are many online Web2.0 tools that you can use today to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations that can be shared with others to view and edit online from anywhere at anytime. Students and teachers can now work on the same document, even at the same time! No more worrying about which version of the edit you are looking at. You can even track who made what revisions in easy color coded formatting.

The two main providers of collaborative documents are Google and Zoho. Zoho is now available from within Gaggle.net so we are going to highlight the use of Zoho docs. Of course features vary, so you may wish to use Google or another service for a particular activity.

Check out this video about Google Docs.
